Mama Lucia By the Bay in North Beach, MD, is the newest one of 3 locations in Calvert County. I recommend this location over the others. It's aesthetics are good, there's an outside deck that allows a view of the bay, and separate bar and dining areas. The prices are reasonable and servings plentiful.

Fresh bread is excellent. But my pizza was delivered to the table cold, and even when hot probably needed another minute or two in the oven. Ot what I expected from a wood fired pizza oven.

Service is slow. Food is typically sub-par. Pasta reminds me of my own out of the can sauce. Bar service is the slowest in town and even the bar food is low quality. If your looking for a place to sit by the water outside and conversate, slowly enjoy a beverage, and eat one or two appetizers this is your place. For a large family sit down there's many more better options.

Absolutely love sitting at the bar that overlooks the Chesapeake bay. Danny one of the bartenders makes the best margaritas in the world. My wife and I were completely entertained by watching both bartenders Nancy and Danny hustling up the orders for the mass at the bar. They even gave my wife and I hugs goodbye as we were leaving. Great down home feel.
